Here is our robe. Ta-da!
The robe is for relaxation, contemplation, batheing, withdrawing from the world to a sanctuary, for ten precious minutes or a heavenly weekend morning (even better if you can steal it on Monday).
(see size chart)
These were our guidelines for making our version of the perfect robe: A flattering, smart collar which frames your face and fits to your neck. The body is modest, but not voluminous – you want to be able to get to both pockets. Length is mid-calf or a little longer depending on your height, you don't want to step on it. Gaping sleeves annoy me, so the sleeve is neatly fitted to the wrist and the cuff can be turned back. No more dipping your cuffs into the marmalade.
Material: 100% Linen. Mid-weight "St. Barts"
Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large
Care: Machine wash with a small amount of gentle detergent, not Tide. Tumble dry on hot or medium, and remove from the dryer while still very slightly damp so wrinkles do not set. Shake the fabric out flat and smooth it with your hands. If you can dry outside, let fresh air and sun work their magic.
So soft, perfect fit. Size small - 130lbs, 5’4”, female. Love it, and totally worth the price! Wear it almost daily.
I received my robe today and am so enthusiastic about it that I wanted to write a review (I don't often write reviews). The weight of this linen is extremely satisfying and the quality of the fabric is heritage level. The cut and drape are beautiful and it already washed up well. The things that gave me pause we're that my package did not ship until a few days after I placed my order however, once it shipped it arrived from the West Coast within two days! It was packaged with a beautiful lavender sachet - such a nice addition! The only other negative to mention is like a previous reviewer mentioned, the "Storm" color is just not blue at all, I think it would be a good idea for RL to change the photo shown. Regardless, I'm not sending this back - no way. I'm loving it!
I absolutely love wearing this robe after a long day - or on a day off. The robe embraces me in a calm, relaxing way, and doesn't overheat my body at all (in Florida, that can be a lifesaver). The only issue I have is that all of the pictures of St. Bart's Storm show a steel blue reminiscent of the ocean, so I was so excited to see it in-person. When my robe arrived, I was a bit disappointed that it was a solid gray, with no hint of blue to be found.
Thank you for your review, Evan. Our storm color is definitely an interesting one. It has a bit of blueish grey tone and it can vary between different shipments or even different fabric rolls. Let us know if you prefer to keep it or exchange it to another one. Thank you!
Purchased the St Barts linen robe - it’s lovely! Love the two belt hoop options and the fabric feels wonderful.
