Introducing my classic Belgian waiter's apron (fond memories of hot chocolate and waffles in the Grand Place, Brussels).
We were asked to design an apron for a new restaurant in Los Angeles. We supplied 100 natural Orkney L'Aprons™ and they added the embroidered logo. Now, you can wear the same European apron yourself — pas de logo — je m'excuse.
I have given it two capacious pockets divided by a sleek pencil slot. So professional.
34" wide by 27" deep, the new apron comes in natural, white, black, charcoal and indigo Orkney linen and has the traditional long strings for you to tie in front — just remember to fold and tie them together in a loose loop, ties in a loose knot before washing to avoid tangles.
L'Apron™ is priced at just $50. Such good value you can afford to buy all four colors!
Material: 100% Linen. Heavyweight "Orkney"
one size 34" wide x 27" long
Care: Machine wash, dry outside for preference, do not over-dry. Dampen fabric to make wrinkles disappear.
I purchased this apron as a going away gift for an intern in our conservation lab. She is a book conservator and has been wanting a new apron as she moves on to a new job. This one is the creme-de-la-creme of aprons! Lovely big pockets for holding tools.
Our service team looks amazing in these aprons.
Very easy and comfortable
I ordered two of these aprons, one for myself and one as a gift for a high school graduate who love baking. I've always loved linen but only recently discovered rough linen (both the concept and the website/shop). I opened my apron immediately and tackled making a Babka for the first time and it (the apron) worked beautifully (how the Babka turned out is a story for another day), I washed the apron as instructed and, while not as flat perfect as it arrived, it was soft after a gentle dry and when folded easily sat with my dish towels in their drawer. The quality is superb and I really really like it. A note on the sizing: I am a big girl (think Ina Garten) and was worried this apron would not fit - but it did! I'm not going to be wrapping the ties around my waist multiple times but it fits, ties nicely at the front (just like the photo), and is comfortable. Highly recommended.
I love linen and I love this apron. I know this may sound crazy, but I look at linen as being ageless, timeless, I look forward to passing my apron down to my granddaughter someday. It makes time spent in the kitchen that much sweeter.
