A small and pleasing thing: a set of three Orkney linen wash cloths. Always fresh against your face, just enough texture to exfoliate gently. Never again catch that whiff of damp - linen is inherently antimicrobial, and thinner than terry so it dries quickly (as long as you don't leave it in a sodden heap of course!)
I use each one several times before tossing it into the laundry, so three will last you a week. Go for Black if mascara is a factor in your life.

United StatesThese cloths are every bit as high quality as the bath and hand towels. Unfortunately, I need something a little softer on my face, which is super sensitive and super pale, tending toward pinkness. Even cotton muslin has too much exfoliation for me. However, for expediting youthful, dead-skin turnover on my body, these wash cloths are the best! Rough skin begone on elbows, knees, and feet. And if my face starts looking a bit dull and lackluster, I can use an Orkney wash cloth once a month.
