    Bathe In Waffle Linen

It goes without saying that I love waffle weave. Years ago my sister sent me snowy waffle cotton square bath towels from Rome, and I revelled in their comfort and provenance.  When we tracked down pure linen waffle, we just had to sew with it, despite the difficulties of working with a fabric which has three dimensions.

Waffle to me means utter luxury.  I love the way it looks and the way it feels, its astonishing absorbency and that it dries so quickly it never gets musty - unless you leave it in a heap on the floor of course!  I take my natural waffle robe on my daily swim, don't bother to change until I get back from the beach, which makes the whole process so much more simple than wrestling out of a clammy costume.  A white waffle robe lends me a aura of spa pampering, and it is flattering, and now that we have introduced black waffle, my cup runneth over!

Advantages:  I need make no argument for black, but in practical terms it is the most forgiving of shades.  My gym towel weathers being stuffed - neatly rolled of course - into my gym bag and being hung up properly only at the end of the day, even though it is bath sheet size it doesn't take up too much room.  Black is so smart!  I love it for face cloths too, where it has the huge advantage of not showing mascara, and the little dimples give gentle exfoliation.

I'm trying not to boast here, but I consider our dimple size absolutely perfect - not too large, and not too small - just right!
