The innovative Orkney Summer Cover is a single layer blanket which floats linen's characteristic cool, crisp texture over your body, perfect for hot summer nights. In cooler weather, use it as a layering piece for extra warmth. Three inch hems and mitered corners look neat and structured whether the bed is made or not, and bed-making couldn't be simpler, just a flick of your wrist and you're done. Elemental luxury for everyday.
Individually cut and crafted in California.

Material: 100% Linen. Heavyweight "Orkney"
twin 76" wide x 100"
queen 105" wide x 100"
king 120" wide x 100"
(No CalKing size. The king is large enough for a CalKing bed.)
Care: Machine wash with a small amount of gentle detergent, not Tide. Tumble dry on hot or medium, and remove from the dryer while still very slightly damp so wrinkles do not set. Shake the fabric out flat and smooth it with your hands. If you can dry outside, let fresh air and sun work their magic.
Other: The Orkney Summer Cover has two long seams running parallel to the sides of the bed.
The Summer Cover is perfect for the Texas heat/menopausal combo.; it keeps my sweet husband comfortable, too. When it wrinkles too much, for my taste, I simply spray it with water, smooth it out with my hands, and put the ceiling fan on high, for 20 minutes. If I ever win the lottery, I will purchase one in every color.
This Summer Cover in Dusk is so beautiful. I'd wear it if I could, I love it that much. I have purchased a good deal of Tricia's linen; it never fails or disappoints. No matter what I buy, the linen has it's own distinct 'hand' and it's all quality; from heavier Orkney to the light loft of Myriad. Sleeping under a Summer Cover is awesome! It makes me feel happy- I pull it up to my nose and sleep enveloped in fine, scented softness. I guess you can tell I love it.
I dearly love the summer cover and have given one as a gift. It really doesn’t wrinkle that much, is just the right weight for us (my husband prefers a top sheet under the summer cover, but that’s a personal preference), and really makes up nice. I’m so glad I discovered this at Rough Linen and can highly recommend it.
