AustraliaIt was so wonderful receiving my 8 inch samples of Orkney linen. It’s much easier to have a real sense of the vibrancy of the colours in a larger format. I’m in Brisbane, Australia, and the samples arrived so quickly. I have bought some beautiful linens from ‘Rough Linen’ over the years. We both love Orkney linens slightly rough feel. Peter likes to take our top sheet on holidays with us, as he loves it so much. We will never be without Orkney sheets. We simply use 2 flat sheets and Orkney pillow cases and that’s it. Summer and winter. We find them exquisite to use.
United StatesI ordered Smooth Linen curtains in off-white. After washing, I tumbled in the dryer for 10 minutes on low heat. Then I hung them while still damp. The fabric settled into a lovely drape with just enough texture to showcase the linen fabric. The result is lovely and we could not be more pleased.
United StatesThe Orkney samples are each unique in texture as well as color. The pear is best against skin, my choice for clothing, bedding, and towels. Natural is like a loofah, the perfect washcloth--great on feet or face. Others I use as napkins, hankies, and coasters. So many luxury products just by unstapling the batch! Snipping loose threads then tending the fringe after each washing is well worth the time.

United StatesIt’s good size to consider do you like specific color palette or you even feel the texture of fabric. You can put it close to your other product and see if color match or clash. I think it’s good idea to get this sample if you trying to get pricey bedding so you don’t get disappointed later on and have no headache about return .
