The Wide Leg Pant

10

Flat front, wide leg, defined waistband with stretch in the back – there is something edgily retro in the body-skimming fit of these pants, narrow at the top, long and fluid at the bottom.  Cut to make you look good and your rear end look shapely.  If you have enviably long legs, the inseam is 33” so you can adjust the hem precisely to your own best length.

Sloping pockets, zipper fly front, and one bold Corozo button focus the eye in and up to enhance shape, balancing the width at the ankle. The back has traditional welt back pockets that we have stitched down flat: easy thread release means you can open them for use if you prefer.  Above them, darts ease into the waist and elastic keeps the waistband in place and comfortable. Note: This style fits loose. We recommend sizing down if you are between sizes.

    Great fit, great quality

Love these pants. So classic, so well-cut, and the small fits perfectly. I’m 5’0” and 118 lbs. I’ll wear these with pride for a long time to come.

    Sizing inconsistencies

Sizing seems to be a little off. I am normally a sm - med, but had to get a large in these (ordered a small based on a previous pants order), but had to return to your actual SR offices because I didn't want to keep having to pay for return shipping to try the Medium. Nope. Then the Large. Your earlier pants (straight leg, pockets, elastic all around waist) fit me in a small. They do bag out a bit, but I kind of expected that with linen.

    Excellent quality, didn't quite fit

I loved the quality and feel of the pants. But the size small didn't fit right. A little too high-waisted for my comfort and too loose in the waist. I am 5' 9", 145, narrow hips. Fit was nice in the butt and legs. I returned the pants and opted not to try the xs because I felt they'd be too snug in the legs.

    Which color to buy next?

Although at 5"5", 120 lb, these could stand to be a little smaller (I bought the xs), I simply love these. They feel like pajamas but look rather elegant, my favorite combo. They look great with the cross back top and/or the boxy shirt. Fabric and finish are both top quality. I'd love to see them offered in a flax color. I bought the pepper and the ash, both lovely. I pretty much want them all!

Beautiful, but may not work for curvy women

I purchased these in large, I'm at the top end of the range for the hips in large and the information said to size down, so I figured I'd be fine. However, that was not the case. It was very tight in the waist and through the thigh. The fabric is lovely, but the information is misleading. It's possible that the XL would've worked for me, but given that I'd be paying for shipping both ways to find out, I didn't bother. If you carry your weight in the hips and thighs like me, you may want to size up, or look elsewhere.
