I have been using wool dryer balls for years. The whole idea of using a natural, sustainable and highly effective product instead of artificial chemicals and nonrecyclables is a reason good enough to use these. Add to the benefits that wool dryer balls are effective and can be infused with essential oils for spectacularly scented laundry and the product is a total win-win.
I’m very pleased with my Rough Linen purchase. I think anything I bought from them will last a lifetime. Thank you.
All linen bedding, towels etc. right out of the washer are shaken & blocked, air dried on my loft bedroom balcony in flat multiple layers. Because linen dries so quickly this stack of layers is dry within a day or two. Precise folding, stacking and "relaxing" in the linen cupboard softens and eliminates wrinkles, including our vintage French embroidered linens (no ironing for me!). The ink Orkney duvet cover goes in the dryer to reduce lint and like everything else that goes in the dryer, adding wool dryer balls dries things in 3/4 of the time, yielding a bonus of softness and no wrinkles. 4 of these benevolent spheres now live in my dryer.
I love the dryer balls. My towels and sheets are so soft. I put a little lavender essential on the balls for a soft scent.
The wool dryer balls are terrific -- they are a great natural replacement for dryer sheets and they keep the linens soft and separated.
