    Orkney Linen Tea Towel

    vintage blue

Thirsty Orkney linen tea towels — "we only dry our glasses with linen" — I didn't think of making these until linen-loving customers demanded them, but it makes perfect sense - linen is inherently anti-microbial, and stays fresher because it dries quickly.

    Product Information

    Material: 100% Linen. Heavyweight "Orkney"
    26" x 18"
Care: Machine wash with a small amount of gentle detergent, not Tide. Tumble dry on hot or medium, and remove from the dryer while still very slightly damp so wrinkles do not set. Shake the fabric out flat and smooth it with your hands. If you can dry outside, let fresh air and sun work their magic.

      Second Time Arounds a charm

I love the tea towels. Have had them for some time now and just got the indigo to go with my collection. I am in love with my indigo towels. The colour is brilliant. Love, love, love them. They are durable as well.

      Awesome towels

These are fabulous!! I live in Houston where it is very humid... these towels dry out in 20-30 min and are ready to go again... other towels stay moist for 12-16 hrs and smell stale. I’ve gotten rid of all my other towels and use these exclusively!!!!

Orkney linen tea towel - Pear

I adore the color of this linen tea towel and the linen quality is excellent! Has that great softened drape to it. I didn't launder first as I was too excited to hang it on my stove handle so it's not too absorbent currently, but I'm sure that will improve after the first wash. Having prior linen experience, I know that grease and other food stains can be very hard to remove so I have cautioned family members about grabbing these towels to wipe off greasy or stained fingers. We started using 100% linen more for clothing and home goods a few years ago after reading about it's numerous benefits - antimicrobial, fast-drying, has a higher frequency than other fabrics which makes it energizing.

      Beautiful addition

I received my 2 beautiful tea towels in pear with joy. I immediately hand washed then. When they were dry I hung them on my towel rack in the bathroom to use as guest hand towels. But I couldn't resist using one. So now I use one every morning to dry my face after face washing. The linen dries my face instantly ready to apply my morning facial routine.
